OK, I got caught up on the Brothers karamozov–drove myself into the ground doing endless editing. Today I gave up and threw away my work so far–I was in an endless regression and had to break out.
So once my desk was clear, I added Dosteoyvsky’s Bobok and Turgenev’s The Watch.
More to come soon.

…I have the site outline up. A picture and small blurb about each author. Plus at least 3 works from each.
I’ve been bogged down for the past day on a minor piece by Pushkin called Marie–it is making my crazy, tediously removing line breaks from a huge file. When I finish it, I still have about 100 works that can be posted.
You can access the sites main page here.
I have also laid out my next steps in working on the site (the following is copied from the site’s about page):
The following is my projections for finishing the site (in about a year):
1) continue to post the primary texts–this is ongoing and will be done simultaneously with the following steps.
2) write up an introduction to the “golden age”–should include social, cultural, and political background–create timeline or list important dates–make the home page inviting and informative
3) For each author; write biography, bibliography, and perhaps a timeline or list of important dates. Some of this can be taken from out of copyright books. I may ask the Author’s Calendar for permission to republish some of theirs.
4)Add lesser known authors (I arbitrarily left out Lermontov…maybe add him in)–could create another subpage with works from them.
5) Continue with step 1.
##All steps can be done in any order.
That’s about it for now.

I have just begun a new website with the same title as this blog. I t is my intent to use this blog as a “what’s new” page. The Gyration site will take about a year to complete, so as I add stuff I will update this blog–it gives returning viewers a site update.
I am excited about this new project. It is a subject which I hold dear. This blog is a good place to leave me comments on the site.
I have uploaded the site skeleton, I will hopefully get to some content that I have ready before the end of today.
